Mableton Day 2014 was a huge success, with thousands of visitors joining our 9th celebration. Visitors enjoyed the entire day – participating in the Mableton 5K and Fun Run and the Car Show, visiting the vendors, the historic Mable House and the Kids Corner, and experiencing the diverse entertainment on the stages. Even a brief rain shower didn’t dampen our spirits!
The Community Spirit Trophy was awarded to Harmony Leland Elementary School, along with a check for $1,000. Hendricks Elementary School was the runner up, winning a check for $750 and Mableton Elementary School was third, taking home a check for $500. The competition was full of enthusiasm and folks are already talking about next year!
A special thanks to our sponsors, vendors, volunteers and alliance organizations – we couldn’t do this without you! Mableton Day is truly a community effort and we thank you all for pitching in to make this the best Mableton Day ever!
